Probate Clearances to Auction

This can be a good option when clearing a deceased estate. We can complete probates which comply with Section 160 of the Inheritance Act 1984.

Saleable items are taken to auction where an account will be set up in your name and on completion of sale all proceeds less auction commission (normally around 15%) will go directly to you. Any other items that are not saleable or have not been donated to charity will be taken to the local recycling centre for disposal.

Full Property Clearance

We work on our hourly rate to clear the property completely. Removing all items as requested and all proceeds from auction go back to you or the estate. We also provide a delivery service for any items to be delivered.

House Clearance Costs

We work on a very competitive hourly rate based on two men and a Luton sized van.

The cost of your clearance entirely depends on the quantity of contents of the property. Whilst we try to be as accurate as possible with our initial estimation much of the waste will be charged by weight. Tavistock Removals only charge you for the time taken to clear/clean the property, as all waste is at cost.

The Waste Costs are: £228 + VAT per tonne for general mixed waste and £384 + VAT per tonne for POP waste.(sofas chairs)

We are charged for certain items individually which we pass on at cost only. The Land Fill Tax increases year on year. Disposal of certain items is expensive and beyond our control. Please read through the list below for costs associated with “extra” items. We can offer cheaper options to get rid of certain items, please do ask.
